I recently decided to make my first grading submission. It's mostly to get experience with the process, but I sent a couple coins to ANACS that they should have received Friday. I thought it might be interesting to see what you all say about the 42-D before I find out the official grade. Those of you who play GTP may recognize it:

I agree with Grape, MS65, dings and scratches on the reverse take a good grade level away from it.

I'm thinking MS64--marks on reverse NW quadrant field and a few other hits/dings are unfortunate. Is a nice coin.

I think the obverse will pull this to MS-65.

MS-65. I would call this 5 full steps. What looks to be a hit on the steps I ignore because it came after the strike.

I'd call this a MS64-MS64+, no FS, but I do think ANACS will give it a 65-65+.

MS-64+ I'd say, not full steps, but very close.

with MS-64+. I think the reverse pulls it down from MS-65, although ANACS might give it a 65. I like it! Let us know the submission results.

I'd say MS-65, 5 steps for ANACS. Very nice!
