Some pictures of the coin in question. It weighs 20.4 grams and is smooth on the edge. Apologies if the Obverse and Reverse are not correctly oriented, couldn't tell what side is up!
Yes, sorry, it's a replica of a "pirate piece of eight", a cob-style Spanish-colonial 8 reales from the 1600s or early 1700s. Genuine examples can look kind of crude, but this one simply lacks the detail and style I would expect to see on a genuine coin.
