I am new to coin collecting and I have come across the 1964 Jefferson nickel which I think may be very valuable. can you guys help me identify the value of the coin. see images below. see images below
I've run out of space and can not upload the back but on the back there is a "D" mint.
Are you questioning the mintmark being on the reverse (back)? In 1964, the Denver mint produced over a billion nickels with a "D" on the back like yours. Unless the coins are in uncirculated condition, value is five cents. The S and D mintmarks will be on the reverse of Jefferson nickels in all prior years, too, although the location (relocated to above the dome) changed briefly for some issues during WWII.
