At first I thought it was a woody but now I'm not sure. Thought paint or something but its not in most of the groves nor rim.

Something corrosive did a number on the skin of this coin . I don't think it is a Woodie .

It's a woody IMO. I have dozens of these from the 30s--very similar. Had a trusted coin shop owner look a few of them over a few years ago. Good photos!

Thank you, I thought it was, couldn't see how the paint (or whatever it may have been) was perfect against the rim.

Woody for sure, obverse looks low VF sharpness, reverse hard to make out.

This looks just like a lot of woodies I've seen, especially on earlier S mint wheats.

I've got more than a few woodies that look like this. Though I have a thousand or so woodies. SF is notorious for them. Congrats!
