Thank you morgansdad!
Yes my Father served in the Navy during WWII. A very young lad at the time. He was stationed in Germany and in the Philippines. He had a tug boat blown out from under them. He and most of the crew survived. Dad brought back some currency and coins from the Philippines.
My only Brother also served in the Navy. He served on the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) aircraft carrier. He was still in the Reserves when his vehicle was struck, in 1970, by a drunk driver and he was killed. This was only 6 months after he returned home.
My Nephew who recently retired was Master Chief Jason C. Puckett, the chief of the boat aboard USS Michigan (SSGN 727). He served since he was in the early enlistment High School Program. Most of his career was on Nuclear Subs and quite literally had his fingers on the "buttons" - so to speak.
Yup...long time Navy family and very proud! Thanks for your families service as well!
Sorry folks...this is way off-topic! Apologies to everyone.

I wonder, what would the replacement value be of the entire ASE collection assuming every coin is MS/PF-70?

That is a great question. when I get home I can partially answer that - By posting up the total purchase price of all these coins.
