I see there is a clear separation on the doubled parts of the numbers and both parts are raised. There not flat like most MD I have seen. Need advice from better minds on this one. (50% of the cents that year had that issue) But not a doubled die that is collectable. The first clue it is not a doubled die, is that the date and mintmark both show the same thing. The die is created in one process, the mintmark is added in a different process. When the MD affects both, that is the clue for Machine Doubling. (as well as the outside edges of devices are affected) Report this Post to the Staff
