jecz79 Pillar of the Community Portugal 655 Posts	Posted 10/06/2025 6:38 pm I got a pair for those 5 reis 1901 Do not know what happened to that batch of copper alloy but some of the coins from that issue get this look. Already had a 10 reis 1901 but got this one to pair with the 5 reis I had shown. Both with the same kind of dark and lighter metal texture. This one shows some rubbing from having had the obverse cleaned but I don't care. Now I have a spare nice 10 reis without rubbing but without luster. I think the cleaned top coin with dents on the edge is more appealing than the uncleaned lower one. Report this Post to the Staff
