The luster, which is now developing a patina, appears to be a little scuffed on the high points, most obviously on the reverse. Couple of very minor dings/scratches under the patina, barely visible in these pictures.

MS-63 or 4.

Wow, I knew these were hard to grade but this is really tough! I'll take a stab without looking at the responses. This is my first ever grade given on a Franklin!

I don't think that is wear so I'm with uncirculated.
Eye appeal is definitely struggling on the reverse but that isn't really a full point deduction I think.
Strike is ok
Not full bell

Ms63? Drum roll.let's see what you all said!

Technical grade - MS-65, lack of luster and reverse eye appeal could bring it down a bit.

Full disclosure, it had a grade of 63 written on its protector, but that could have been my paw in law that graded? I haven't tried an acetone dip on him yet, but should be ok huh? There were 2 coins in this certain type of protector, the one above and a 3 cent nickel, from 18 something, but both had green/bluish tones that were also left on the clear plastic envelope after removal

Not sure if that protector was allowing condensation inside, from getting hot, cold, hot, cold, or what
Rest in Peace

I'm at MS-62 because of the lack of luster and many scuff marks .

The reverse wasn't the best pic, or the right lighting, it's not as dull as the pic shows
