I have a 2021 D Washington Delaware quarter with something on the top of Washington's head on the obverse. Can you tell me about it?

@spy, do you mean " Cud" or "crud"? However, I actually think it is neither. Recall that by definition, a Cud must involve the rim. This could be damage or a die chip. My vote is actually for damage though.

The mark is incuse on that area. It reduces the size of the device, so it is not a die issue. But coin damage issue. There is Machine Doubling in the NE direction on the devices.
