Silver Dollar 1939 Double Hp - MS Or Not?

okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5597 Posts	Posted 07/05/2022 1:03 pm I'd say maybe AU-50. It's much higher than a 35. There is minimal wear in the hair and the columns on the reverse. If all those dings on the Rev are like the photo in-hand then maybe XF-45. It is definitely not MS. It is a very common coin, with lots for sale because people saved them when they came out so many saw no circulation. Hard to tell from the photo. Is it a double HP? Wrekkdd Pillar of the Community Canada 3328 Posts	Posted 07/05/2022 1:41 pm Before my edit my guess was ef45-au50 but the lighting is throwing me off, the detail on the obverse looks vf45 to me reverse ef35 but I have never tried grading one of these. I think I have one actually lol but since it's not mint state it's essential worth around melt. Report this Post to the Staff
