armjr New Member United States 32 Posts	Posted 09/04/2022 9:56 pm Oh, I'm quite sure it's not real, hence the magnet test fail. I found this coin in probably 1968 or so in roll coins. It wasn't real then either. I kept it anyway... My collection from those days hasn't see the light of day since 1973. I've been putting old stuff, silver, wheat ears, buffalos, etc, in tubes and tossing them in the box of my collection which was all un-albumed and rolled when I went off to college. I just thought I'd put it up here as an example of what is not a 44-D steel penny. I had 4 1943 plains in uncirculated condition put away as well.... unfortunately they are not in that condition any more. Alan Report this Post to the Staff
