My gift will probably be sent later. I haven't decided what to send yet. My collection is located in another city, so I will have to buy something specifically for a gift. Unfortunately, I won't be able to buy what he collects, but I hope I can choose a cool gift for him.

Been looking through e-Bay to find a nice coin, or coins to send to my recipient . I have to tell you it's fruitless trying to find anything decent without spending $35-$45 . Then add in the shipping and tax and for your shipping cost to send out . Wow I come to the conclusion that I will be finding something nice within my own collection . I wouldn't be a bit surprised if many participants do the same thing .

I sent my gift package today to a Canadian recipient. Even the lady at the Post Office was a bit confused by the address, but it's on its way. Quote: Reminder if you have to send something to another country do NOT mark it Coins
Mark it Numismatic Materials and you should have no troubles shipping. Thats what I put on the customs form - and the postmaster lady asked me what 'Numismatic' meant. I told her 'coins' and she said 'why didn't you say so?'. LOL edit for spllgening
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

When Shipping out of the USA or CANADA is is often times easier to mark the parcel Numismatic Tokens - This usually gets around the laws- If any of you have had other experiences - Please enlighten us.

I have used "stamped metallic discs" on customs forms.

There will come a time when I explain what the references to sending something to a far off place means-
In the meantime - If you know please do not post about it until I have verification of success.

rggoodie, I've not yet fulfilled my obligations, but it will happen. Agoraphobia is a real thing. I've picked out the items, for both home and to a far off place. Now to face the challenge of the outside world...
