So I bought this off of ebay. And the picture that was posted most definitely appeared to have a mint mark in it.. now I have the coin in hand and at some angles it looks like maybe? Took quite a few pics to try and give a little perspective. Feel like this was probably scammy

The "S" is supposed to be at the bottom of the wreath and I can't see any sign of one in that area.
Looks like a regular Indian Head. I would return it.

No was listed as part of a group.. looks more like a shadow of a letter. Wasnt a good pic and I think that was the plan. Lala

Here is my reverse of my 1909-S:

1909-Indian-Head-Cent—appears-To-Have-An-S-Mint-Mark-Sometimes
But yeah, looks like a Philadelphia mint to me...

The S should not have worn off to that extent, even in that grade. It a 1909 "plain".

My initial thought is that someone scraped off an added S (looks like damage in that area). Then I kind of see some S's but they're the wrong size, shape, and location. Always a bad idea to try to force yourself to see something that you hope is there...
