A warehouse worker has been arrested for stealing "bags" of the popular color-enhanced circulation strike 1-dollar coins celebrating the television comic character Bluey, while 2-dollar Australian Olympic and Paralympic coins meant to be available through a grocery store are showing up for sale online.
It's been going on for years now. I guess the RAM benefits from it because it artificially inflates the values of collectable coins. A shame that no one can do anything about it.

Inflated values on the secondary market don't really directly impact on the Mint's profits - they aren't in the secondary market. It only very indirectly benefits them from having higher demand for coins generally. But meanwhile, they're losing profits form stolen coins.
