Nail From The 1700/1800-S? - Coin Community Forum

Rainman1 Valued Member United States 54 Posts	Posted 07/13/2023 11:57 am I found this after heavy rain eroded part of my in-laws yard. My metal detecting knowledge is limited so I researched sediment build up on buried metal and can't seem to find anything. The condition prevents dating based on shape, but the blackish color penetrating the sedimentary layer makes me think wrought iron. The estimated length is 3". Thoughts?
