1999-P Wide "Am" Clarification?

I'm not sure, but I think I found two 1999P wide "AM" pennies. Could someone verify for me? Is there a certain distance the "A" and the "M" have to be separated by to make it qualify as a wide "AM"? The pennies are not in the best condition though....(attached are 3 pics of each penny)

The hot linked article for WAM and CAM does a great job laying out the rare dates and the identification.

Although there is also a helpful note on these forums about the positioning of the A in STATES as a clue.

Let's clarify that this is not a clue but rather a definitive diagnostic that can be relied upon 100% of the time.

If the A is T-A-T is centered between the two T then the coin is a WAM variety. If the A is closer to the second T then the coin is a CAM variety.
