I'm thinking there's a planchet issue--concerning that 'vertical', track-like feature. Just my opinion. Would love to examine the coin in-hand.

That weight is within normal range.Is there a coin shop near you that knows about error/variety coins?

There are a couple of shops in the area, I'm going to call/visit some after the holidays wrap up but if anyone has suggestions in the Chicagoland area I'm all ears.
