Seeker_101 Pillar of the Community United States 1791 Posts	Posted 02/17/2025 11:41 pm From a North American Nickel set I picked up. Set has 5 coins but these 3 are the reason I got it. commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12384 Posts	Posted 02/19/2025 1:31 pm Here's a trio of classic-era US commemorative coins that were designed by noted artist/sculptor Chester Beach: 1923 Monroe Doctrine Centennial Half Dollar 1925 Battle of Lexington-Concord Sesquicentennial Half Dollar (Note: The coin's obverse design is based on the 1875 statue by Daniel Chester French.) 1935 Hudson, NY Sesquicentennial Half Dollar As a bonus, here's the 1928 Hawaiian Discovery (European) Sesquicentennial Half Dollar; Beach wasn't the coin's designer but he created the models for it. He developed the designs of Juliette May Fraser for coining. 1928 Hawaiian Discovery (European) Sesquicentennial Half Dollar Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems.
