Wonderful albums, BG!

One of the beauties of Dansco albums is that they're customizable! I came up with my own solution to the annoying Jefferson nickel albums....

6120 Half Dimes 1794 - 1873

This is another album produced by Dansco for Littleton Coin Company. These coins are so thin that sometimes they slip between cardboard and sliding plastic. If Dansco decides to produce this album again, I hope they consider making the pages a bit thinner.

6110 Shield nickels 1866 - 1883

This series is short but challenging. I hope to upgrade a few coins in this album and add a few more next year.

This album, made by Dansco for Littleton Coin Company, consists of only one page. They also updated the text on the front and back covers.

7112 Buffalo nickels 1913 - 1938

This is one of my favorite series. There is something magical about Indian head on obverse and a bison on reverse.

This is the earlier version of album when they had spaces for 1918/17 and 1937D 3-legged buffalo varieties.

More fantastic albums, bg! It irks me that Dansco includes holes for proof-only coins like the 1877 and 1878 Shield nickels.

I never thought of that but it makes sense. Is this also a problem with the Trimes?

Indeed. I completed mine back in 2018.

My set started in a Whitman folder, but moved it to a custom album using two blank nickel pages a long time ago. I wish I had realized they updated the page labeling to match what I was collecting.

Yes, those tiny silver 3 cents album have the same issue. However, they don't move as much in their slots, so I haven't noticed them slipping out and moving between the cardboard and the cover
