The teardrop shape is on the top and the slightly blocky sefif on the bottom. The inverted S of 1946 is blocky on top and teardrop shaped on the bottom, although a bit fuzzy to see on a later die stage coin. Report this Post to the Staff

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6830 Posts	Posted 12/04/2024 5:35 pm The 1946-S inverted 1¢ is visually a bit confusing because it is missing part of the knob connection to the main body. http://lincolncentresource.com/San_..._Styles.html Even with wear, one of the most distinctive aspects of the knob-S mint mark is the straight cut on the upper curve that gets super narrow at the end of the teardrop. The flared bottom termination with a flat face is joined by a circular curve to the body. Report this Post to the Staff
