Lucked out on recent purchase. Advertised as 3 cent nickel clash and lamination, not RPD.
I was hoping to get your opinions on the following: Is an RPD-001 not really an RPD, and just looks like one because of there are clash marks inside the 8s in the date, or is it a bonafide RPD? Is it pretty uncommon to have these 3 issues on an 1881 3CN specifically? I didn't see any others online. Is it pretty uncommon just in general? Is there PMD west of the lamination, or is that just the result of the lamination? I was thinking of sending it in to NGC to get the VP designation. Would they also give it the die clash and major reverse lamination designation?
