numismo Rest in Peace United States 3039 Posts	Posted 06/01/2009 12:51 pm steve 199 the diameter is the same as a normal cent. The obverse has a rim but the reverse does not. Being that the obverse is concave it looks like the reverse edge was pushed over the top and sharpened that way. Can't be a dryer cent because that would have a rounded smooth edge. foundinrolls Pillar of the Community United States 3507 Posts	Posted 06/01/2009 9:32 pm It looks like what a "zincoln" looks like after it was in an encasement and removed. The thinner edge looks right and the damage is rot that occurred after the plating was destroyed by the process of placing the coin in the encasement. Thanks, Bill Report this Post to the Staff
