PCGS - This is what our five-cent coins could have looked like. Struck as an experimental U.S. Mint issue, the design of this 1884 pattern left room for a hand-cut octagonal hole at the center. Only two dozen examples are known. In PCGS PR68+CAM, this one sits at the top of the pop.
