From 1935, I have two more banknotes from Canada, and they're probably my best notes:
A French text Five BC-6 or P-43:

And a 35 English small seal $20 BC-9 or P-46::

The first note features Prince Edward (who would go on to marry Mrs Simpson) & the 2nd note features Princes Elizabeth (who go on to be queen). The 1935 series was unilingual (English or French) & lasted only 2 years. Note the English colour schemes.

Fantastic banknotes, everyone! Love that QEII note, walk2dwater!

My only example for today is a Series 1935G USA 1 Dollar Silver Certificate (Fr. 1616). Pardon the poor quality scan; I need to update this one.

-Thanks CB! & nice 1935G $1.00 SC!

BTW: Rob, I was going to comment on your notes from Spain but had a senior moment after eye-balling the other notes posted (sorry bud!)

I believe both your notes are the NO series (no prefix letter) 1st variety & thus the earliest (& often most desirable varieties) even though I do realize that Spanish silver certificates are not high on everyone's wish-list. Still that 10 Peseta SC & the 50 Pesetas should be tougher than the prefix varieties. I actually won a 10 Pesetas & the reason I threw a low-ball bid on the gem note was b/c it had no prefix/ no series, similar to yours.

Here's one of my really early purchases from a Chinese seller years ago & its a C series (with the "C5" prefix & one of the most common varieties & likely released more like in the 1940's or maybe even 50's):

Nice notes CollegeBarbers, walk2dwater and Spence!

I really like the WWII emergency issues, Spence, and since I don't have any world notes for 1935 I'll throw in one of the other WWII issues, a 1935-A series North Africa $1 SC.
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition

Also, as part of my type set I collect the various $1 SC experimental notes, and two of the easiest to spot are the 1935-A series "R" and "S" notes. Here is one of those.

Nice examples!

I can finally add something to the topic, even if it is just a common US note.

If my maths are correct, today is a new day for 1934.

Another boring US piece.

These were commonly called "Ploughman notes" for obvious reasons. The reverse shows the Customs House in Dublin.
