I agree with the above responses ... slabbing should be considered for coins with numismatic value ($250 or more IMHO) ..as slabbing rarely adds much to the value of a coin ... main value being that the 'services' guarantee the coin's authenticity (there's a LOT of counterfeits in the market now) ... experienced collectors will ignore the grading services' opinion, & judge the coin's merits by their own experience. ... the grading services do make mistakes, & often, their assigned grades are questionable ... ...A newcomer may feel more comfortable with a slabbed coin, but my advice is to learn to grade coins yourself, save the expense & put that money elsewhere (like, buying more coins...) ...There are grading guides with pics & descriptions available online for you to use https://www.pcgs.com/photograde ...hope this info is helpful ... That being said, this is another bullion coin ... not worth slabbing (IMHO) ... rather, put it in a PVC-free coin flip, either paper or plastic ... my preference is the plastic flip, as you can take your coin out if you wish ... ...as a rule, most bullion coins have little premium value over spot, as, because of their purity & how they are handled at the mint, the surfaces can quickly stain & spot with age ... (silver, not gold) ... ...most are minted at volumes in the tens of millions, & are not rare. The demand for US Silver Eagles is good, & this does add some value over bullion price.
