Wondering if this "2" on obverse is an error or post circulation stamp. It resembles the mints #2.

to the CCF, Coingravity.
That is definitely a counterstamp that someone applied to the coin after it left the mint.

Not an error of any kind, just a counterstamp which is considered damage
although some people do collect them.
