I found this in a customer wrapped roll of quarters that I was looking through. It's in pretty good shape still, considering that it was found in a customer wrapped roll. Now my question is this. Is it a proof or a special Business Strike? One thing I know for sure, is that the mintage for these are low. Any help or information would be great. I can try to get better pictures later, if needed.

Nice find, Errers! I don't think that it's a proof, because it would still have mirrored fields even with the amount of circulation it has seen.

Thank you, HondoB for your help and the link. I was thinking it's a Business Strike by the looks of it.

i picked a 2014-S everglades quarter from somewhere or got it in change about 3 years ago... I'm sure that I posted that back in september 2023, with pix. the consensus was that it is a business strike. a proof, even if impaired, would probably clearly show mirror-like fields.

glad to lend an assist, E&V. I sometimes feel like I don't do enough with the sharing of helpful info. I do more reading than posting. many others on here have considerably more knowledge than I can immediately conjure up, but I have a good memory of the things that I find. heh- I wish I could find more of those S-mint business strike quarters, the S takes me back to when I first got going on collecting coins. I got a real charge out of finding S-minted nickels & cents when I was 12-13.
