weight is 3.14 g. That's not off much, but the planchet is visibly thicker than normal and the strike is awesome.

Can you give us two or three pics of the edge of the coin? It may have been previously encased, giving the rims a thicker/higher look to it.

Weight appears to fall within the accepted tolerance for copper Lincoln cents...

Lincoln Cent 1962-1981 3.110 .130 (low) 2.980 (high) 3.240
