8 Reale With Unconventional Eye Appeal

LurkingNoMore New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 07/30/2026 8:11 pm I recently purchased an 8 Reale that I probably wouldn't have if it weren't for an unusual placement of its chopmarks. it reminds me of a horror film character with stitches over its eyes and mouth. I thought it was interesting and was wondering what other coins might be out there that are unconventionally appealing? Report this Post to the Staff

I haven't heard before of the Chinese bankers targeting specific design elements on the coins though. Rather I just assumed that they jus randomly would apply the punch.
