Ike nerd nirvana.

I made a purchase and a trade this week. First up, davenders got some more money out of me with a roll of 1978-S proof Ikes.



Then I traded with a fellow member of the Ike Group forum for the following Ikes:

This is an awesome struck-thru mint error.



The "1" in 1971 is still visible despite this anomaly.



Then, some silver proof Ikes- 2 each of 1971, 1972 and 1974:









All in all, a good week for Ikes.....

I can't wait to see it! The Ike Group member said he paid $71 for it, so we did an even dollar amount trade. He's a trustworthy guy. I didn't question it. Of course, I would have preferred the coin to be in mint state, but its light circulation doesn't detract from the error itself.

As far as the DIVA designation/sticker thing is concerned, it is my opinion that the only variety that absolutely requires it is the 1971-S DDO FS-103. PCGS has misattributed several of these. In fact, the FS-103 that I USED to have was really an FS-106 DDO. I had to send it back to PCGS for a free variety review. I supplied all the documentation that I could muster, and they corrected it. There are still several misattributed FS-103 varieties in PCGS holders.
