I bid $13.99 on it so yes you would have won Darth. No one else bid. If I had known you were bidding I would have let you have it. I will take new pictures once I get it and clean it up a bit. I might display it next to my 50's Crosley tube clock radio. It looks like the plastic is held on by screws so the coin should be removable.

@jbuck- Very nice '72S Proof. Where did you get it slabbed? Would love to do that with a couple Morgans I have. @Paralyse- I would've bid on that had I seen it as well. Love the toning on him. The clock is nice too.  @batboy Congrats on your 1st toned Ikes!! They look great  Now that you got those you will want more.

Naw, I'm fine now. I wanted one toned Ike and now I got two. So, I need to move on. After I finish my Susie Bees (within a week I hope), I will work on Indian cents (just got a 1864 with L and rpd) and hope to do some upgrades to my 7070 type set this year too. |

My 1972-D Came in today!  The One shown on previous page in PCGS Tru-View. I decided to take pictures of my own to see if they come close to the PCGS pictures. Wow what a difference ...I'm gonna need alot of work. Here is what it looks like under my lights and camera.   Edited by MontCollector

Don't feel bad, Mont. Photographing slabbed coins is a nightmare for most people, myself included. It's still a completely satisfactory image. Remember, they shoot the raw coin for TrueView images.

The lighting I use works great for 90% silver coins...but not so well for the modern 40% and Clad coins. Am very happy with coin as well. Fits right in with my collection. Now I need to get a graded '72P to complete the '72 Graded set. |

I do think so. It is every bit as good as the fall show in Greenville. This show used to be held in Greenville, but moved to Spartanburg maybe twelve or thirteen years ago. Funny, this one is called the Upstate South Carolina Coin Show and is sponsored by the Greenville and Parker Coin Clubs. Yup, the front cover is held on by 4 plastic screws that easily remove. I can take it out of the clock for further photos but I am not good at photographing toners so I might send it to Todd/blucc.
