Is it also a PEGGER?

Why yes it is. One of the reasons I jumped on it...I forgot to add that when labeling it in picture...DOH

Did all '71-S Proofs come originally in a brown box?
Yes. They certainly did. Nice grab.

I just can't resist 1976 T1 Ikes in mint cellos. You're almost guaranteed toning glory.

I was shopping around for a 1972-P Ike for my 3rd Dansco album (working on it very slowly), and I found this one on the bay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/22238688088...RK:MEBIDX:IT

The obverse photo hinted at the possibility that it could be a nice toner, so I took a chance. Boy, I'm glad I did. The luster and color are there, but you couldn't tell it from the seller's photos. I offered $3.00, and he accepted. I paid more for shipping than for the coin. LOL. Gotta love ebay.

Some other recent additions to the inventory:

This was the lowest winning bid I've had on Great Collections to date: $5.00

You got me going Jbuck. I pulled one from my old sets I bought back in the seventies. Here's one of them. I am trying so hard not to get myself hooked on these as well as my Morgans & Mercs.

Picked these up a while ago. Paid $3 total for both to rescue them from their mint plastic.

Not very pretty, but hey what do you expect for three bucks.

Even the "ugly" ones need a little attention every now and then.

A big "thank you" to my friend, Lee (Earle42) for considering a trade with me for this DC "1970" Eisenhower dollar fantasy issue. It is such a beautiful piece that will be cherished for years and years to come. Every time I look at it I'm able to imagine, in a tangible way, what might have been.

If Mr. Carr happens to stumble upon this post, I have but one thing to say. . . . "1979"

Ok...when one has over 200 silver Ike dollars...is it "hoarding" or just plain "insanity"?

Just wondering.
