My banks coin counter has been broken so lately I couldn't get any dime bags. Stopped at another bank who has a counter but they will not sell bags. They wrap and box their own coin when able. Decided to try a $250 box of dimes and found 3 silver dimes. Two were 1961 and 1964 Roosevelts and the other was a very nice 1936 Mercury that would probably grade very fine at least with full bands. Probably not worth more than bullion but a nice find.

 Oh yeh!! First, I saw this rim. It was dull, I would not be surprised if it was previously missed by an edge searcher. But also notice how nice the rim actually is... its the coin in the middle.  Then, I pulled this coin!   Ive been on quite a tear in the last week or 2. 1904 indian 1908 V nickel1913p buff on a mound 1903 barber half 1923 merc that I found this morning... was my oldest for 8 hours!  and now this 1850 Seated Liberty dime!!! my oldest find to date, and the same week as my first barber found. Insane! Then again, I may hit 25 boxes searched for the week. And here is another first... I blew out a tire yesterday riding my bike to the dump bank.... I jumped a curb, and the weight of the coins was too much! popped the tube, tore the tire, and even scraped the rim a tad. All fixed up now, and lesson learned. Let the good times coinroll! I'm new to dime roll searching and new to this thread. That was an unbelievable find on the seated liberty!
My first box of dimes was a skunk. My second yielded a 1952s, so far.

Amazing! When I was a child I once got an 1860 British penny in change - nowadays the oldest UK coins in circulation are the still-common 1971 1p and 2p...

What is the typical yield on a box of dimes? I've done two so far, finding nothing in the first box and one silver and a Malaysian coin in the second box.
