jbuck Moderator United States 190135 Posts	Posted 05/19/2010 11:17 am Eisenhower Dollar Coin Facts The ones listed as 40% silver in the first section (1971~1974) are the 'Blue' and 'Brown' Eisenhower dollars. The "circulation strikes" are the blue packs, the "proof strikes" are the brown boxes. The 1776-1976 dated 40% silver dollars were in three-coin mint and proof sets (Quarter, Half, and Dollar). There were no blue packs or brown boxes. When the normal reverse resumed in 1977, the 40% silver coin was discontinued.
