Someone here a few days ago mentioned auctionzip for coins. I bid on probably about 100 absentee items and I ended up winning two. The Mexico set I probably didn't need and have no idea what it's worth. The Seated dime though looks pretty good. What do you guys think of the price paid for the dime? In line or too much?

Pretty! Can't comment on the price - if you like it, the price is never too high. The other link doesn't seem to be to the Mexico set, which I'd like to take a look at, if you can repost it.

I think you did very well on the dime.

It's hard to say a coin is AU/MS...to me, it's one or the other.
I'd consider this coin AU58 because of all the circulation marks in the obverse and reverse fields. It also looks like it may have been cleaned.

That would have been me that posted the link. Only 2 successful bids out of a 100? Did you get bid out at the live auction? Keep an eye out for the "online only" auctions, they are easy pickings. Sweet looking dime by the way.

I was using PCGS photograde and thought it was very close to MS but I'm no expert. Not sure what impact those circulation marks would have on the grade. I'm hoping that maybe those marks are not as bad and that maybe it is the angle of the light. Here's hoping! :-)
