today I got a 1996 $20 dollar bill from the atm and although it is not old enough I also got a 2001 $20 as well. it was a nice surprise to get 2 big headed non colored bills at once.

^^ haha, I know! I've been wanting to find one of those to set aside for a while now, but I can't seem to get any! XP lol
Everyone else seems to have them, though.. Luck o' the draw, I guess!

Nells! Thanks for posting! I think they're all nice! :) As for value, I guess "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" as they say. I guess except for the hundred, they're not worth much more than face, but if you want to keep them, go ahead! I know I would!

There is just something about having an old note in your hand... I always detect something "different"... again, it might coome from collecting old paper. Just what is so unusual about the $100?

well the 1950 E is the last series we printed using 16 note plates then we switched to 32-note plates and now I hear we might be switching over to 50-note plates.

First post on the forum and I am excited to report a few finds from hitting the local banks. I always ask the tellers when there are no customers around to dig through their drawer. Within 1 week: Pair of 1934 $10s, 1 Atlanta, 1 Richmond 1963 $5 Red Seal Pair 1950 $100, 1 Boston, 1 New York
Love this thread and really love these finds for face...

Quote: Just what is so unusual about the $100? Well, like ckrakowski said, it is the last series of the 16-subject sheets, but value-wise, it is one of the more valuable $100 FRNs. My book says about double face on it, but what you can actually get for it will of course vary.. Quote: First post on the forum and I am excited to report a few finds from hitting the local banks. Coinsearcher83, I always like to share stuff with everyone:P . Although it's been "touched" by the time I still like it, and the number is almost a RADAR, so can't really complain :).
