wow thanks BiggFredd...so this note may have some value? Like I say I don't know much about paper $ or National Currency. Years ago I had a Medford NJ $5 bill my Step-Grandfather gave me that I sold on ebay for quite a bit of money.

The Medford note is R4 (6-11 known), which should provide some comparison. As you can see, there aren't many collectors (compare to coins where fewer than a dozen are known, like the 1913 V or 1894s dime), so part of it is listing it at the same time someone is looking for one.
Potential buyers include the issuing bank (if it still exists) or a museum in the issuing city, or a local collector. Non-collectors prolly don't even realize these notes exist.

My sister-in-law got this 1950 five in change. When she tried to spend it elsewhere, a young clerk refused to take it, telling her it was counterfeit. I took it off her hands.

Nice score Janknez!
Any type of 1950 $5 would be a nice find, but that's a nice serial # also. I don't know how high is necessary to qualify for a premium, but #9988xxxx is really up there!

Yes, high number, but serials for circulation went all the way to 99999999 back then. This note's low serial equivalent is 00115285, which isn't all that special on the low end. I'll say no serial-based premium.

I just got a series 2004 A $20 bill star note serial number GF02358647 and it's VF to XF. Wondering if I should spend it or add it to my collection? Thank you

, voshus001! Interesting numbers aside, I'd wait for a better deal to come along, then spend it.

I just landed a really nice crispy, 1981 50$, 4 sharp corners, no marks, looks gem. Got it in 600$ change for a coin dump, gonna hang on to it for a while.

That $10 1950 D star is a very good find. Valued around $15 in F and $65 in XF condition. Many currency collectors would like to add that to there collection and you got it for face value.

That $20 star comes from a run of 3,200,000 and the condition is VF at best, so unless you are trying to assemble a collection of star notes, that one can be returned to the wild. IMO
