rjkingston Pillar of the Community United States 642 Posts	Posted 04/12/2011 12:48 pm Definitely Medieval Christendom (1400-1500AD). The cross is actually common throughout many countries though. The 'M' looks similar to some designs I've seen that is actually a V with two keys hanging on either side. Again, there may be better minds for this. Great find! This site is great, yet coin clubs and shows are also great ways to garner knowledge. Regarding your find and the info you've been provided from some of the medieval specialists here, perhaps a visit to the local library might shed more light? I'm now recalling that my local library once obtained a book for me from hundreds of miles away. That book helped me ID an early election medalet. I ultimately found and bought a copy of the book and then proceeded to expand my collection. Now, I may be needing a twelve-step program! Report this Post to the Staff
