97guns Valued Member United States 59 Posts	Posted 05/31/2011 10:54 pm ive been snapping these up at a torrid pace for the past couple of weeks, I just checked my dollar cost average for the 13 I've aquired and its $1390/oz. just looking for opinions on this as a holding to the stack, it works out to be around 10% of my gold stack. I understand that I will be lucky to get spot when selling but I've got some wiggle room at the price I'm in at. Report this Post to the Staff

Now I'm strapped for cash and have been forced to sell some. My last ebay sale sold for 3% under spot for a NGC graded PR69, a bit disappointing. Report this Post to the Staff

Coin Chaser Valued Member United States 307 Posts	Posted 06/01/2011 11:47 pm I assume you are refering to the 1/10 ounce american eagle gold bullion coin. This issue is a dealer favorite as the buy/sell has a big spread. We buy at 85-90% of spot and sell a 5-7% over spot. The newer issues will not have the numistic value because of higher mintage. ebay is a large market but you will find it hard to make a profit due to the 10%+3% charges. You will not know if you made a good buy or not until the item sold. Gold will always have a value but it is detemined when it is sold. Good Luck. Report this Post to the Staff
