On a side note, two things happened to me I thought were worth mentioning.
1. I went to home depot to get some wood, the total came to $20.43. So I had the lady a $20 and a fifty cent peice. She takes the coin without looking and hands me seven cents change, so some people do know a coin when they see one!
2. I went to DQ tonite to get a blizzard, and my mom has some Ikes left over from a bank pick. I had already searched them and there was nothing special. However when I paid with them the cashier says "John, someone gave you a present" and this elderly man runs over and looks at the Ikes and couldn't have been more excited. "they arent silver in case you're wondering" I tell him, he says "I don't care" and then says "where'd you get em"? I say the bank and he says every time I go there they dont have any!
So he tells me a story of a restaurant he used to go to when he was my age and they gave out change in silver dollars. I asked if they were morgans or peaces he says "they were all coming out of Carson City, all from the 1800's. Now doesn't he know they're morgans then? Said he lost them while moving and had at least 20-30 and that they'd be worth at least $20-$30 a piece now.
Now if they were CC's I'd expect them to worth at least $100-$200 each, but that's how the cookie crumbles.
Just goes to show there ARE some people who know about coins.
