I would guess a Conder token of some sort, perhaps a "Wooden Walls type. See
this example.
Condition is significant; a Conder token or pretty much any other alternative (such as a
British halfpenny) would have writing of some kind on it somewhere. Is it worn enough that any lettering near the edges could have worn away, or does it look like no lettering was ever there at all?
