Like someone started to put it into one of those machines that turns a penny into a commemerative token. So my guess is PMD, but it's just that, a big guess. Report this Post to the Staff
cardman06 Valued Member United States 114 Posts	Posted 08/21/2011 3:14 pm i dont know either, nut the complete front rim is all there..with the indentation on the front and stretching on back, not sure how that could happen..either way I think it looks cool..if it is cheap pick it up, it will make a good conversation peice.. mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2740 Posts	Posted 08/21/2011 5:51 pm As others have indicated, the extra letters on the reverse were applied after the coin left the mint. This cent was struck on the reverse by a token die, such as those that are used to strike the ring of a "lucky token" cent. The left side of the obverse was distorted in the process.
