One silver medal is going to be one of my new pocket pieces after I had to recently retire a few.
The "defect" on the dime is debris inside of the "airtite" as it moved when I tried to open the "airtite" unfortunately the open half of the holder is the reverse so it and the coin are stuck in there.
Like jbuck mentioned, I would have really liked to get the silver medal only. I can't see paying the high price for the set. Oh well, I'll give it a couple of years and see what is available.
According to the US Mint Customer Service Center, there will be 250 special notes included randomly with each of the five 2026 BOM products. There's a 30k limit on these dimes, thus the 1 in 120 odds. I expect the sets that include the signed cards will carry a bit more premium.
I do wonder if they were all included in the initial release or if there will be any included with the backorders.
Chance of getting the special note will be slim, and checking the Mint site with the 2026 Mercury dime set are available for $780 on back order, with the metal price dropping these sets may not be as tempting to buy when metal price were higher.
How much will the SLQ set cost by the time it comes around?
