waaay back when I first got into VAMming I communicated with him via email several times & even saved his email address, though I think it's no longer active... I still have him saved as a contact in my yahoo contacts. I rarely use yahoo for email anymore.

I need to get involved on VAMWorld again, been too long. I had a couple of VAM discoveries but nothing special, I did enjoy updating pics for the listings when I would find a nicer example than what was on the listing at the time. -makecents-

Can you provide a sharper photo of the date and denticles below? Based on your first obverse photo, the date position doesn't appear consistent with VAM-15A.

The coin is a VAM-15A MDS before the 2 had the break for the filled 2 marker.

I don't think yours is a LDS, I do believe that you have an EDS based on the crack from the D to the denticle. There's a possibility that the obverse is a different die, or as I said originally, an LDS and that's why you don't have the die chip in the date. Without seeing all the pictures of VW's 15A, I cannot say for sure. You could always send your coin to JB, or one of the other premiere Vammer's. Hope this helps?
