FYI, you have a better chance of getting hit by lightning 6 days in a row than finding ANY 1964 SMS coin in the wild. Also, none of them are unique.

I agree with the above comments. Not SMS.

CoQCoins, what indicates to you that these are SMS?

I see nothing to indicate these are sms coins, I do see some things that eliminate the possibility of sms. The cent is a late die state obverse with the lettering pushing into the rim. The so called sms coins were from fresh new dies.

The coins put me in mind of impaired proofs.

to CCF. But... I agree with makecents here. I have a better chance of being in complete control of the US Mint as these coin have a chance of being from an SMS set. These god awful images certainly don't help either.

You can post all the images you want, but it still won't be an SMS. Sorry, but you're wrong. Pareidolia is very real, especially when looking at super blurry images.

Hehehe..It is very easy for me. I can just look at the field and tell because I have em in hand. They do t look like nothing else. They do not look the same as the 1965 sms or 66 sms. The Kennedy and the Cent looked like business strike coins but very slick.
Key: Gotta have perfect 6steps (there are no 6fullsteps on regular strikes).
coins do not have that mirror look or reflection, a tiny bit is ok). Satin is what you want.. U can tell just looking at them...u dont see it?

No, I absolutely do not see it. Then send it to PCGS. You'd be really dumb not to if you're sure, it would be worth a small fortune. It's a 100% no brainer, but an expensive lesson.

That 'marker' you circled on the 4 is not in the correct location - it must match EXACTLY in location can't be off by any fraction of a mm
However Bobby is right - if you are so sure it is, send it to PCGS for validation, then please be sure to come back here with the final results.

I'm locking this topic. When you get it back from PCGS in a 64 SMS holder, use the contact form to let me know, and I'll unlock it.
