Was sorting out my bookshelves (been needed doing for a few years now) and as I was sorting through I was randomly flicking through the pages of some of the older books I have. I have 'Chats on old coins' F.W. Burgess, 1913. At the back there is an old advert for Spink & Son LTD. Just though I would post it as I found it pretty cool. Below is what the bookshelves look like now and a pic of the book and advert. Hope you like it as much as I do!

I am impressed by the number of books you own on coins. Clearly an excellent library, and the shelves are well organized. Well done on the cleaning. =)
That's a lovely book, especially given the age. Neat advert, and interesting to see the offerings and prices—which are themselves in a retired currency! =P

I love the gilded, embossed medallions on the cover. Not something you see anymore!

Quote: Is that a jar of late Roman coins Victor? Yes, about 15 pounds now; but they are lower grades.

Nice collection. But I mostly admired your setup to photograph coins I must get one of those tables and stands.

That is a really neat set up. I have a tripod but it wobbles a bit and it's quite difficult to capture the coin I am photographing without it being very slightly blurred. I have noticed that this makes a huge difference to the prices I get when selling. I will have a scout round to see if I can get one that clamps onto the desk. Very very nice book collection as well!
