The usual points on SLQs where you first see wear are the shield and Liberty's right leg and left knee. On the reverse the eagle's breast seems to be worn first. On pre-1925 coins the exposed date numerals also wear down very quickly. You can see how the date on my coin is starting to blur, even though the overall detail I agree is in the VF to EF range. The head is more protected and doesn't wear so rapidly. Lack of head detail is a strike problem and coins with full head detail are scarce and sell for large premiums. Grading services recognize this and designate such coins as "full head" (FH) on the grade label. The preceding comment will be old news to many but collectors new to this series might want to know.
