This one has caused me quite a bit of confusion.
I believe the obverse will grade Fine; however, the reverse is another story - haven't really learned much about split grading yet. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ralph, I would say F-12. I believe most of the grading on these type coins is from the obverse.

The front is the perfect example of an F-12, all of liberty visible but weak on the L and Y. The back is a quite a bit worse I must say. Although most of the grading comes from the front, I personally would push this down to a net VG.

I think a net VG8, but the reverse is AG to Good.

I'll go with the F-12 obverse, the reverse appears about G-4.
Net grade would be VG-8

This coin is no better than VG, but might only sell at a G price because of the reverse.

Okay - thanks for your opinions. I, too, believe it would grade VG, and that's what I will inventory it as.
When I post a scan of a coin, I do it with the intention of getting other opinions of the coin's grade - more or less to help me with my grading skills.
I don't post my coin scans to determine resale value. In fact, of all the coins I've purchased, not a single one of them has ever been resold - given a scad of them away, but never sold one.
Again, thanks.
