Thanks, I will complete it; in the home stretch now :) With 76 coins necessary for a complete set, There are only 5-6 coins that are not truly represented in the set, and most of them are not particularly hard to find nor costly in VF+. Then, about 10 coins have to be upgraded to make the set uniform in quality.
The final coins are: A Liberty Seated half dime (with legend), Shield nickel (With Rays), 20 cent piece (expensive), Liberty Half No Motto, Liberty Half Motto. The 6th coin would be a Liberty Seated quarter No Motto from 1838-65. I have 2 quarters from 1854 with Arrows so technically I could use both of those coins, but I should get one without arrows for the sake of completion. I expect that altogether to cost around $800 since I am looking for higher quality coins with eye appeal but am taking my time and will update you :)
It is a great thing of beauty and one could spend hours or days going through these coins with a book/loupe/internet resources learning about each series in some detail. I also plan to resell the set at some point, but I am unsure where I would be able to get top dollar. ebay seems like a reasonable bet, but they take a big cut of the sale.
