shanew Pillar of the Community Australia 1041 Posts	Posted 04/21/2013 12:09 am has any one got any idea on this one looks to be a token from 1845 frank smith in middle and sir joseph banks pavilion on the out side nothing on the back its made of lead and was on the bottom of a tin of coins and has had a bad life weight is 14.3 grams any history buffs have any idea who frank smith was and were is the sir joseph bank pavilion Report this Post to the Staff

shanew Pillar of the Community Australia 1041 Posts	Posted 04/21/2013 02:59 am spg1 thanks I have been googleing all day found that frank smith built the sir joseph banks pavilion in 1840s he was a promotor and developer he also built the first zoo in the colony at the same site but cant find anything on a token this could have been a token for the zoo I got no idea cant find any thing on the token he was the owner and builder of the hotel then built a amusment park and zoo on the land at the hotel BEING LEAD IT COULD BE RARE I thought I had a lead trial when I picked it up at the markets in a tin didn't look till I got home and found it wasn't a coin trial still mite have some history to it Report this Post to the Staff
